<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The assembly (1) has a pad-type rim brake provided with pads (5) that are built in a carrier assembly structure, two actuating arms (3) and two pad-bearing brake arms (4). Each actuating arm associated with the corresponding pad-bearing brake arm is articulated in a recess (1a) to move between an operating position in which the actuating arms are retracted within the structure, and another operating position providing access to the pad-bearing brake arms. An adjusting unit i.e. distancing screw (9), is interposed between each actuating arm and the corresponding pad-bearing brake arm. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Bicycle wheel carrier assembly. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The pad-bearing brake arms and the actuating arms are articulated about a pivot with relative freedom to move with respect to one another, so that the actuating arms are flipped down manually without interfering with an adjustment of the pad-bearing brake arms so as to guarantee aerodynamic streamlining as the pad-bearing brake arms and the actuating arms are retracted inside an outline of legs of the assembly and to avoid interference with the adjustment of the pad-bearing brake arm, thus independently adjusting of the pad-bearing brake arm and the actuating arm so as to ease replacing of the pads and to ensure cyclist safety. The pressure applied by the actuating arms to the pad-bearing brake arms via the distancing screw allows the aerodynamics of the exterior outline to be adjusted.
