摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an image writing device which has no irregularity in density by correcting dispersion in the quantity of reflected light due to variation in the reflection factor in one reflecting surface of a polygon mirror with the angle of incidence of a light beam and/or also correcting irradiation positional deviation on an image formation plane in the reflecting surface due to the variation in the angle of incidence of the light beam. CONSTITUTION:The light quantity correction signal generating circuit 40 of the image writing device consists of a counter 41, an EEPROM 42 and a D/A converter 43. The ROM 42 is previously stored with light quantity correction information for deducing the driving voltage of a laser diode 29 as the laser beam on one reflecting surface of the polygon mirror is increased according to the relation between the angle of incidence of the laser beam and reflection factor of the polygon mirror. The correction information read out of the ROM 42 is converted by the D/A converter 43 into an analog voltage as a light quantity correction signal, sent to an LD driving circuit 44.
