The present invention relates to a movable detoxifying device and a method for operating the same. The movable detoxifying device comprises: a detoxifying chamber having a sealed space formed therein to accommodate a contaminated tool contaminated by a chemical or biological weapon; a spraying device connected with the detoxifying chamber through a feeding pipe so as to supply hydrogen peroxide steam and ammonia gas which are detoxifying agents into the detoxifying chamber; and a post-treating device connected with the detoxifying chamber through a discharging pipe so as to remove the detoxifying agents fed in the detoxifying chamber. Because the hydrogen peroxide steam and ammonia gas are used, precision equipment, the insides of vehicles/aircraft, and the insides of facilities/buildings which cannot be detoxified through existing detoxifying agents can be detoxified. Thanks to the size and weight of the detoxifying device, the same can be moved to an inaccessible contaminated area. Accordingly, in an emergency involving an attack using bioochemical weapons, a rapid response is possible.
