The prevent invention relates to a virtual advertisement system and a method for displaying the virtual advertisement. The virtual advertisement system which can improve an advertisement effect by combining an advertisement image related to a game situation with comprises: a game information identifying unit which receives a game image from a photographing device to generate game position information and game situation information, based on the received game image; an auxiliary image generation unit which generates an auxiliary image for providing additional information with respect to a game by using the game position information; and an advertisement image combination unit which searches the advertisement image related to the game situation in an advertisement database to combine the advertisement image with the auxiliary image when the advertisement image is searched. |
