PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of detection accuracy caused by the posture of a camera. CONSTITUTION:An image sensor 14 and a light receiving lens 12 constitute one element of a light receiving means. Respective infrared ray emitting diodes 13, 13a-13d functioning as light sources for illuminating observer's eye 15 (light projecting means) are arranged around an eyepiece 11. A superimposing LED of high brightness is shown by a numeral 21. Light emitted from the LED is reflected on a projection prism 22 and a master mirror 2, and vertically bent by a small prism array 7a provided on the display part of a focusing plate 7, and then, the light reaches photographer's eye 15 through a pentagonal prism 8 and the eyepiece 11. Then, the small prism array 7a is formed into a shape like a frame on the position of the focusing plate 7 corresponding to a focus detection area, and then, it is illuminated by the LED 21. Thus, respective range finding point marks are luminous in a finder visual field so as to display a focus detection area. |
