The present invention relates to a supported catalyst and a carbon nanotube produced by using the same. According to the present invention, the firing temperature is adjusted based on a composition of the catalyst in order to eliminate a flaw of the prior supported catalyst for producing a carbon nanotube that it is hard to obtain a bundle-type carbon nanotube capable of being dispersed easily. Therefore, when the supported catalyst is used, a nanotube aggregate in a bundle type or in a non-bundle type can be obtained as a user desires. The supported catalyst is obtained by: impregnating a granular support with a catalyst substance and an active substance; and firing the granular support at the temperature (y) calculated by Equation 1 below or at the temperature higher or lower than the temperature (y).
