SEAT BRACKETS FOR PICK-UP TRUCKS AND THE LIKE A seat lift kit is used for raising the bench seat in the back of an extended cab pick-up truck. The kit includes a pair of channel shaped bench brackets that bolt directly to the existing seat bench and bench mounting holes on the cab floor and a similar pair of channel shaped seat back brackets. The back brackets carry an angle section that supports the rear edge of the seat bench. The seat back is retained in an upright position using the existing latch receiver and a replacement latch bar with an offset lower end. The latch receiver is retained in place against the forces applied to it by a brace connecting one of the seat back brackets to the receiver. Each of the bench brackets is equipped with a stabilizer bar that projects inwardly from the bottom flange of the bracket and then slopes upwardly where it engages the sloped floor of the truck.
