摘要 An organic electroluminescent device comprising: a pair of electrodes comprising an anode and a cathode, and one or more layers of organic compound arranged between the pair of electrodes, wherein the organic compound layer, or one or more of the organic compound layers, comprises a compound represented by a substituted imidazole. The substituents on the imidazole ring may be selected from a range of suitable substituents, including: substituted or unsubstituted aryl groups, substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic groups, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl groups or cyano groups. In various aspects of the invention, at least one of the substituent groups may be a substituted or unsubstituted imidazole or thiophene group.
