PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that is excellent in display definition.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device comprises: a first substrate that includes a first insulation substrate extending over a first area including an active area where an image is displayed and a second area adjacent to the first area, a common electrode formed over a plurality of pixels on an interior surface side of the first insulation substrate in the first area, a pixel electrode formed at each pixel, and a ground potential pad formed in the second area; a second substrate that has an end part located at a boundary between the first area and the second area, and includes a second insulation substrate facing the first substrate in the first area; a liquid crystal layer that is held between the first substrate and the second substrate; cover glass that faces the second substrate; a transparent conductive layer that is formed on an interior surface of the cover glass; and a conductive member that electrically connects the conductive layer and the pad. |
