<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately perform a focus adjustment irrespective of a deviation of a focus position due to a zoom operation in a short time.SOLUTION: An imaging device has a vari-focal type lens unit in which a focus position varies upon changing a focus distance by a zoom operation. A camera control part 201 performs a follow-up so that, when a focus position by a zoom operation changes, a focus lens is driven by a lens control part 301 and the focus position stays constant, and further, a focus detection is performed according to an optical image incident via the lens unit by a focus detection part 203, and the focus lens is driven on the basis of a focus detection result to perform the focus adjustment. Furthermore, when the zoom operation is performed and the follow-up is performed, the camera control part stops the focus adjustment until an amount of a focus deviation to be obtained based on the focus detection result is made smaller than a first prescribed value.</p> |
