PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dusts from attaching on a VCSEL light-emitting part.SOLUTION: A light source device includes: a VCSEL202 emitting a light beam from a light-emitting element; a substrate 203 on which the VCSEL202 is mounted; and a laser holder 201 holding the substrate 203. The laser holder 201 includes: a plate-like tabular part 201e to which the substrate 203 is attached; a projection 201b which protrudes from the tabular part 201e, and at the tip of which a plurality of contact surfaces 201a in contact with a package of the VCSEL202 are formed; and a projection 201d which protrudes from the tabular part 201e to an opposite side of the substrate 203 while sandwiching the tabular part 201e, includes a hollow part communicating with a hollow space of the projection 201b, and to which a lens is attached for receiving a light beam emitted from the VCSEL202 and coming from the hollow space of the projection 201b. The height of the contact surface 201a with respect to the tip of the projection 201b is 0.1 mm or less.
