<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a floor surface of a traverse line, on which a vehicle or the like travels, substantially flat.SOLUTION: A transport apparatus 1 comprises a traverse line that transfers a carriage 2 between parallel transport lines, and a passage located between the transport lines is formed so as to cross the traverse line. The carriage 2 is equipped with freely rotatable wheels 4,5, and the carriage 2 comprises a first carriage rotation device 11 that rotates the carriage 2 from the transport lines to the traverse line, a second carriage rotation device that rotates the carriage from the traverse line to the transport lines, and a carriage driving device that carries the carriage 2 on the traverse line in the state where the first carriage rotation device 11 and the second carriage rotation device rotate so as to follow the traverse line. The first carriage rotation device 11 and the second carriage rotation device face to each other with the passage laid between the devices such that the rotation center is located at a position closer to the passage than the center of the transport lines, and no area is protruded into the passage in the state where the first carriage rotation device 11 and the second carriage rotation device follow the transport line.</p> |
