PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for film formation capable of forming a film which is formed by blending a specific amount of a high-boiling-point polar solvent having a boiling point of 170°C or higher under atmospheric pressure, and has the improved refractive index, a method for forming a film using the composition for film formation, a film formed by using the composition for film formation, a method for producing the composition for film formation, and a method for improving a refractive index of the film formed by using the composition for film formation.SOLUTION: With a composition for film formation contains an organic resin, inorganic nanoparticles, and a solvent, a high-boiling-point polar solvent having a boiling point of 170°C or higher under atmospheric pressure of 20-100 mass% with respect to the total of the mass of the organic resin and the mass of the inorganic nanoparticles is blended as a solvent. |
