PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector capable of preventing incomplete fitting and relatively simply structuring a retainer, and a connection apparatus of a squib.SOLUTION: In an electric connector 100, in the state where an abutment part 131 of a support 130 is abutted to a receiving surface 441 of a retainer 400 or an inflator housing 200, when a connector housing 110 is pushed to a fitting side and separated before inserted into the retainer in predetermined depth, the connector housing is pushed back in an anti-fitting direction by a recovery force generated in the support. When the connector housing is pushed to the fitting side and inserted into the retainer in the predetermined depth, the abutment part is displaced in a direction of abutment cancellation and detached from the receiving surface, such that the connector housing is inserted into the retainer in the predetermined depth or more and fitted to the retainer and an electric terminal 120 is brought into contact with a squib terminal 310.
