PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a single slip issued by cutting from accumulating in the vicinity of a paper outlet.SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes: medium posture detection means 65 for detecting displacement of a medium ejected from an outlet port after conveyance of the medium by a conveyance mechanism 63 is stopped; and a medium processing device control unit 100 that controls an auto cutter 60 to cut the medium when the displacement of the medium is detected by the medium posture detection means 65 and allows processing of the medium by a processing unit after controlling the auto cutter 60.
