PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, in an imaging element having a pixel with no parallax and a parallax pixel, an array of the pixel with no parallax and the parallax pixel is always fixed.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: a judgement part that judges a situation of a scene; an imaging part in which a plurality of division pixels including a first photoelectric conversion part at least displaced in a first direction with respect to the center of a unit pixel region and a second photoelectric conversion part displaced in a second direction opposite to the first direction, within the unit pixel region, are two-dimensionally arranged; and a determination part that determines, on the basis of the judgement by the judgement part, whether to allow each division pixel to function as a first displacement pixel allowing a charge of the first photoelectric conversion part to be independently outputted, or to allow each division pixel to function as a second displacement pixel allowing a charge of the second photoelectric conversion part to be independently outputted, or to allow each division pixel to function as a non-displacement pixel allowing a charge of the first photoelectric conversion part in addition to a charge of the second photoelectric conversion part to be outputted. |
