CHANNEL DETERMINATION METHOD AND RADIO COMMUNICATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent decrease of performance due to interference of electric waves emitted from other communication apparatus or a microwave oven which share an identical frequency band.SOLUTION: When sensing a carrier wave while switching reception frequency, a reception section detects a predetermined preamble included in a received signal and detects electric field strength of the received signal. By using a weighting table in which the weighting is larger for limiting a use of plural channels at both low band side and high band side in proportion as the reception electric field strength is larger in the channel in which the preamble is detected, the number of channels is changed to prohibit the use both sides of the channel in which the predetermined preamble is detected.
