PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker including a rice cooking mode to be able to obtain eating quality close to or equivalent to normal rice cooking though rice is cooked earlier than the normal rice cooking in the rice cooking mode.SOLUTION: A rice cooker includes: a body; an inner case; an inner pot; a lid body; heating means for heating the inner pot; a bottom part temperature sensor; a lid temperature sensor; an operation part; display means; and control means for controlling current carrying of the heating means on the basis of a temperature detection result of the bottom part temperature sensor or the lid temperature sensor. The control means can select a rice cooking mode having respective processes of preheating, cooking, boiling maintenance, and steaming by the operation part. The rice cooking modes include: a first rice cooking mode; a second rice cooking mode in which a rice cooking time is shorter than the first rice cooking mode; and a third rice cooking mode in which a rice cooking time is shorter than the first rice cooking mode and longer than the second rice cooking mode. When executing the third rice cooking mode, the control means makes a time of the preheating process longer than a time of the preheating process of the second rice cooking mode. |
