PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder composition for tin oxide-based castable refractories, which exhibits high erosion resistance to slag.SOLUTION: The powder composition for tin oxide-based castable refractories contains SnObeing a refractory blend as an essential component. The content of the SnOin the refractory blend is 70 mass% or higher and a ratio of the content of tin oxide particles each having 15-75 μm particle size to that of the SnOis 25 mass% or lower. As a result, volatilization of the SnOcan be suppressed and the tin oxide-based castable refractory exhibiting excellent erosion resistance to slag can be obtained.
