PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an overvoltage occurring at the time of gate block in a power conversion device in which a plurality of cell converters are cascade-connected.SOLUTION: A power conversion device includes N cascade-connected cell converters each having a circuit in which an upper-side switch and a lower-side switch are serially connected, and stops power conversion by turning off the upper-side switch and the lower-side switch. In stopping the power conversion, the power conversion device turns off the upper-side switches and the lower-side switches of preselected 0 to N-1 cell converters of the N cascade-connected cell converters. |
