The method comprises the steps of inserting the certain amount of volcanic rock in a heating furnace, heating the rock up to the temperature of 600 VC not to be damaged by an sudden expansion from over-heating, raising the heating temperature higher than the fusing point of the volcanic rock of 1,000-1,200 VC, heating continually until the rock is not transformed but the melted surface of the rock becomes lustrous, cooling the rock slowly again and obtaining various colors of volcanic rock by controlling the amount of infusing air corresponding to the fuel in heating the rock, thereby preserving the external shapes or characteristics of the rocks and colors of the natural volcanic rocks, thus being produced in a large scale and applied to the various souvenirs.
