PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator governor capable of reducing power required for a lifting work of a pressing side shoe when resetting a governor rope from the restricted state to the opened normal state, and shortening an operation time.SOLUTION: In an elevator governor 6, a rope restriction mechanism includes a rope reception part 13, and a rope restriction part 15 for restricting a governor rope 8 in cooperation with the rope reception part 13 by rotating around a fulcrum 14. A sliding plate 19 for assisting sliding of a vertical slide shoe 18 with respect to a fixed block 16 is provided between the vertical slide shoe 18 and the fixed block 16 of the rope reception part 13. |
