PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analog-digital converter and a solid state imaging device that consume less power.SOLUTION: The analog-digital converter includes: a ramp signal generation circuit 104 for generating a monotonically changing ramp signal; a comparison circuit 12 for comparing an analog signal with the ramp signal and outputting a signal while a condition is satisfied; a count control circuit 107 for dividing a predetermined ramp period for which the ramp signal generation circuit outputs the ramp signal into a predetermined division number n (n is an integer of two or greater) of divided ramp periods, and outputting a count stop signal in every divided ramp period; a counter circuit 13 for outputting a count value of time counted within a divided ramp period from when the comparator output signal is input to when the count stop signal is input for the first time; and a decoder circuit 110 for outputting a digital signal depending on the analog signal which is generated on the basis of a digital value corresponding to the count value and a digital value corresponding to any one of the divided ramp periods in which time has been counted. |
