PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method capable of obtaining an image having a high color development potential and excellent in terms of image quality.SOLUTION: The provided image recording method is an image recording method including a transport step of transporting a recording medium and an ink application step of applying an ink to the recording medium wherein the ink includes a surfactant expressed by the general formula (1), a water-soluble organic solvent, and water, wherein the content of the water-soluble organic solvent is at least 30 mass% with respect to the total mass of the ink, and wherein a heating step of maintaining the surface temperature of the recording medium to which the ink has been applied at 70°C or above is executed after the ink application step. |
