<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve display characteristics in a liquid crystal display device of an IPS system.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device comprises first and second transparent substrates SUB2. There are formed on the second transparent substrate SUB2 a plurality of gate signal lines GL, a plurality of data signal lines DL, a plurality of pixel electrodes PIT disposed corresponding to each of a plurality of pixels, a plurality of common electrodes CIT disposed facing the pixel electrodes PIT, and a plurality of transparent additional capacitance electrodes CADIT disposed facing the pixel electrodes PIT. In each pixel, at least some of the transparent additional capacitance electrodes CADIT is disposed, in a plan view, between two adjacent gate signal lines GL; the transparent additional capacitance electrodes CADIT are electrically connected to the gate signal lines GL; and the plurality of pixel electrodes PIT are layered on the plurality of transparent additional capacitance electrodes CADIT via a gate insulation film GSN; and the plurality of common electrodes CIT are layered on the plurality of pixel electrodes PIT via a protective insulation film PAS.</p> |
