A server for searching an image based on an object comprises an area division unit which divides an inputted image into a plurality of areas; an object recognition unit which calculates an area feature value for each area and recognizes each object corresponding to the areas based on the area feature value; a keyword matching unit which matches a keyword corresponding to each object; an object feature value calculation unit which calculates an object feature value corresponding to each object; and an image database unit which connects the inputted image, each keyword of the objects, and the object feature value of the objects and stores the same.
