PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of improving operability of an electronic device.SOLUTION: An electronic device 1 includes a display unit 26, an operation detection unit for detecting operation of an operator 60 with respect to the display unit 26, a measurement unit 22 for measuring contact time, and a processing execution unit 24 which executes an application program associated with an image displayed on the display unit 26. The image includes a first image to be displayed on the display unit 26 in a first size or a second size smaller than the first size. The processing execution unit 24 displays character information on the display unit 26 when the operator is in contact with the first image and the contact time on the first image is larger than a first threshold, in the case where the first image including no character information and including a figure indicating a corresponding application program is displayed on the display unit 26 in the second size.
