PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an X-ray generator compact.SOLUTION: An X-ray generator 8 has a housing 10 filled with an insulating oil 14 in which an X-ray tube 11 is immersed. In the housing, a sheet-like insulator 20 is arranged between the inner surface of the housing and the X-ray tube. The insulator has each cylindrical peripheral wall 21 the upper surface of which is open 23, and a bottom wall 22 covering the bottom surface of the housing excepting the base 12. When considering insulation performance only by the insulating oil, discharge is prevented reliably even if the distance between the housing and the X-ray tube is not sufficient, because the housing and X-ray tube are separated by the insulator. The housing is not up-sized even if the tube voltage of the X-ray tube is set higher. The housing can be down-sized than the prior art for the same tube voltage. |
