PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device having an optical layer formed of a resin material on an element substrate, in which excellent display quality is ensured by suppressing uneven film thickness of the optical layer even if the frame region is reduced.SOLUTION: An organic EL device 1 includes an element substrate 10, a light-emitting element 27 including an anode 24 formed on the element substrate 10, a cathode 25 arranged to face the anode 24, and a light-emitting function layer 26 arranged between the anode 24 and cathode 25, a sealing layer 30 provided on the light-emitting element 27 so as to cover the same, and a color filter layer 50 provided on the sealing layer 30 and formed of a resin material. The sealing layer 30 has, at the outer edge thereof, a protrusion 35 arranged to surround the central part of the sealing layer 30 and formed thicker compared with the central part. |
