PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element having high photoelectric conversion efficiency, a method of manufacturing the photoelectric conversion element, and a solar cell using the photoelectric conversion element.SOLUTION: The photoelectric conversion element includes a substrate, a first electrode, an electron transport layer, a photoelectric conversion layer containing a semiconductor and dyes, a hole transport layer, and a second electrode. The hole transport layer contains a polymer, the dyes include a dye represented by formula (1), and the hole transport layer is formed by polymerizing a conductive polymer precursor on the photoelectric conversion layer. |
