<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber for a vehicle and a shock absorbing structure of a vehicle in which a desired shock energy absorbing amount is secured and a weight reduction can be realized.SOLUTION: A crush box 12 which consists of a cylindrical body having a shape in which an area of a cross section in an axially perpendicular direction is gradually reduced toward a rear of a vehicle is arranged in an area closer to a vehicle rear side than a bumper reinforcement 22. A crush box insertion member 14 having a through-hole 28 is arranged in a position at which the crush box 12 is sandwiched between the bumper reinforcement 22 and the member in a vehicle longitudinal direction such that the through-hole 28 is open in the vehicle longitudinal direction, and is fixed to the vehicle. Furthermore, an end part of the crush box 12 on the vehicle rear side is inserted and arranged into the through-hole 28 of the crush box insertion member 14.</p> |
