PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure, and to obtain sufficient support rigidity, in a lower bridge which supports a crank shaft.SOLUTION: A lower bridge 4 for rotatably supporting a crank shaft 5 between a cylinder block 2 and itself has: at least one inside bearing cap 31 which is fastened between adjacent cylinder bores 13 of the cylinder block 2; two outside bearing caps 34 which are fastened to the outside of the cylinder bores arranged at both sides; and a baffle plate 32 which is arranged so as to mutually connect all of the inside bearing cap and the outside bearing caps. The inside bearing cap and the baffle plate are integrally molded, and the outside bearing caps are formed of materials whose elasticity is higher than those of the inside bearing cap and the baffle plate, and mutually fastened to the baffle plate. |
