PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance service or the like by a remote service person even in the case where a language used for an operation screen of an image forming apparatus is a language that the remote service person cannot comprehend.SOLUTION: A remote maintenance server 1 reports a language which is selected by a service person in a service terminal device 3 from among a plurality of languages of an image forming apparatus 101, to an agent part 111. The agent part 111 reads character string data in the reported language corresponding to character string data within screen data from the image forming apparatus 101 and transmits the screen data and the read character string data. The remote maintenance server 1 generates image data of an image indicating the operation screen of the image forming apparatus 101 from the received character string data and screen data, and transmits the generated image data. On the basis of the received image data, the service terminal device 3 displays the image indicating the operation screen of the image forming apparatus 101.
