<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly reduce chips in stripping and cutting four side surfaces of a cylindrical ingot to form a square-pole-shaped ingot. <P>SOLUTION: A groove is formed to have a height which is about 1/2 the cutting depth of the cylindrical ingot w, using rotary cutting blades 91a, 91b each having a narrow diamond blade edge width such as 1.2-2.5 mm. The cylindrical ingot is rotated 180°, and then the grooves processed to have the height which is about 1/2 the cutting depth of the cylindrical ingot by the rotary cutting blade are mutually connected, and a circular arc pole product is cut off from the side surface of the cylindrical ingot. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
