<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer with high printing quality by preventing disconnection of an ink ribbon and accurately managing a use position of the ink ribbon.SOLUTION: A CPU controls motors Mr1, Mr3 so as to form a sag of an ink ribbon 41 by feeding the ink ribbon 41 from a spool which is connected to an encoder with higher detection accuracy of a rotation amount of a first encoder connected to a supply spool 43 and a second encoder connected to a winding spool to the side of a thermal head 40 by a predetermined amount at a state that the thermal head 40 and a platen roller 45 are positioned at separate positions. Disconnection of the ink ribbon is prevented by reducing tension to be applied to the ink ribbon 41, and accuracy of cueing is raised by suppressing variation in sag of the ink ribbon 41.</p> |
