PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a switchover time from an active path to a standby path in a network having a redundant configuration.SOLUTION: A transmission device includes an ingress-side interface unit for receiving a frame and an egress-side interface unit for transmitting the frame received by the ingress-side interface unit. The egress-side interface unit includes a transmitter circuit for transmitting path information related to a logical path through which the transmitted frame is transmitted, to the ingress-side interface unit. The ingress-side interface unit includes a destination determination circuit for determining the destination of the reception frame, on the basis of the state of the active path and the standby path, represented by the path information, related to the logical path allocated to the received frame. |
