PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium battery improved in energy density.SOLUTION: The lithium battery includes: a positive electrode; a negative electrode; a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode includes: a metal positive electrode collector having a hollow and three-dimensional mesh-like skeleton; and a positive electrode mixture filled in the positive electrode collector and containing a positive electrode active material. The thickness of the positive electrode is 0.2-5 mm, the nonaqueous electrolyte contains an ionic liquid and a lithium salt, the ionic liquid is a molten salt of cations and anions, and the concentration of the lithium salt in the nonaqueous electrolyte is 0.8-6.2 mol/L. |
