<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of storing storage-specified data having high shortening effect of RIP processing time, in a cache.SOLUTION: A printer includes: an analysis section 17a which analyzes job data described in a page description language and determines whether detected image data is storage-specified data or not; an estimation section 17c which estimates the data size of raster data to be created, per storage-specified data; a frequency specification section 17d which analyzes the job data and specifies the frequency at which a command is entered for reading the raster data from a cache 13, per storage-specified data; and a storage-specified data determining section 17h which determines specified data for storing the raster data in the cache 13, from among the storage-specified data, on the basis of the estimated data size and the specified frequency.</p> |
