<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output animal repellent sound at places where a risk is high that wild animals including bears and wild boars make frequent appearance, at the time of conducting meter reading of supply objects including electricity, gas, and water.SOLUTION: A meter reading handy terminal having an animal repellent function, includes: a GPS 33 which detects a current position; a speaker 34 which outputs sound; an in-route map information database 42a which stores map information containing a position of a user's house and a topographic map; a meter reading route database 41a which stores a meter reading route of the user's house; an in-route appearing information database 43a which stores appearing information which contains locations frequently visited by wild animals including bears and wild boars; and an animal repellent task 46 which determines whether or not a risk is high that the wild animals appear within a prescribed area on a meter reading route R from the current position, on the basis of the current position detected by the GPS 33, the in-route map information database 42a, the meter reading route database 41a, and the in-route appearing information database 43a, and when determined that the appearing risk is high, outputs bear-repellent bell tinkling sound from the speaker 34.</p> |
