<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizer for papermaking process water capable of suppressing variation in a bactericidal effect of papermaking process water and in influence on dye for papermaking included in the papermaking process water.SOLUTION: Provided is a sterilizer for papermaking process water comprising: a dilution water line in which dilution water from a water source is introduced into a papermaking process water line; a first tank of storing a first solution including a hypo-halogen acid compound; a second tank of storing a second solution including a coupled halogen-generating compound as a compound generating a coupled halogen by being reacted with a hypo-halogen acid compound; a first chemical injection part of injecting the first solution in the first tank into the dilution water in the dilution water line; and a second chemical injection part of injecting the second solution in the second tank into the dilution water in the dilution water line. Variation per unit time of a pH value of the dilution water, in which the first solution and the second solution are mixed, at the most downstream position of the dilution water line is controlled within a prescribed value.</p> |
