<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet transport device which does not require dedicated operation for removing foreign matters which are accumulated on a contact part between a transport roller (register roller) and a cleaning body, and which suppresses the accumulated foreign matters from being left.SOLUTION: A tooth-less gear 74 is not coupled to a register gear 73 when a rotary frame 71 is positioned at a close position, and by rotation of the rotary frame 71 from the close position to an open position, the tooth-less gear 74 is coupled to the register gear 73 and makes a register roller 23b rotate in an opposite direction of a direction during transportation of a sheet P.</p> |
