<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit in which a material, for generating an inert-gas in a battery housing case, is not required to be housed separately in a battery housing case, and firing can be suppressed while simplifying the structure.SOLUTION: A power unit 2 has a plurality of battery cells (battery block 4) each including a positive electrode including a positive electrode mixture layer, a negative electrode including a negative electrode mixture layer, an electrode body formed by winding or laminating the positive electrode and negative electrode while insulating from each other with a separator interposed therebetween, a battery outer body, and a protection mechanism being actuated by internal pressure rise to ensure safety, and an outer case 102 for housing the plurality of battery cells. The positive electrode mixture layer contains lithium carbonate, and the plurality of battery cells are housed in the outer case 102 in a sealed state.</p> |
