Disclosed is a transmitting apparatus. The transmitting apparatus includes a frame generating unit which generates a frame including a preamble area and a data area, a signaling inserting unit which inserts signaling in the preamble area, and a transmitting unit which transmits a frame in which signaling is inserted, wherein the signaling includes a synchronization structure in which a first ZC sequence and a second ZC sequence complementary to the first ZC sequence are inserted. The present invention provides the synchronization structure suitable for a next generation digital broadcasting system by using the ZC sequence.
