PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system, a communication history management method and a line monitoring device capable of creating communication management information in which the communication histories of a plurality of communication equipment connected to the same telephone line are integrated, and dealing with even existing communication equipment without altering hardware.SOLUTION: A line monitoring device 20 monitors a telephone line 3 from a switchboard 2, and generates and stores first communication management information indicating the histories of all communication performed via the telephone line. Facsimile equipment 50 generates and stores second communication management information indicating the history of communication performed by own equipment. When the telephone line 3 is not used, the line monitoring device 20 transmits the first communication management information via the telephone line to the facsimile equipment 50, and the facsimile equipment 50 compares and integrates the first communication management information received from the line monitoring device 20 and the second communication management information stored by own equipment to create third communication management information. |
