PURPOSE:To provide an ink head recovery device having a improved airtightness of a contact part and ink absorbing efficiency even when an emitting surface is not flat by forming the contact part of a cap with the ink emitting surface of an ink head as a balloon structure. CONSTITUTION:An ink head recovery device is equipped with an ink sucking pump 1 having a mechanism for creating a positive pressure part B in a cylinder 5 together with an ink sucking negative pressure part A and a cap 4 having the balloon part 4a communicating with the positive pressure part B and doubly formed by an elastic member provided to the outer peripheral edge part thereof. The cap 4 is brought into contact with an ink emitting surface 11a when the inside of the balloon part 4a is pressurized.
