PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an atomic oscillator that consumes less power and is manufacturable at a suppressed cost.SOLUTION: An atomic oscillator 3 includes: a quantum interference device 10; a PLL circuit 20 having an oscillator 24 and a multiplier 25 for multiplying an oscillation frequency output from the oscillator 24 by a factor of n; and an amplifier 6. A filter section 30 for passing a predetermined frequency output from the multiplier 25 and attenuating a frequency that is half the predetermined frequency is further connected between the PLL circuit 20 and the quantum interference device 10.
