PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burst light signal transmission device and its control method that can prevent occurrence of transient fluctuation of the wavelength and/or the light quality at the rising time of a burst signal due to burst driving of EML-TOSA and can eliminate the instability of temperature control due to heat generation in a light source at the rising time of the burst signal.SOLUTION: The burst light signal transmission device of the present invention sets a bias point of external modulating means at a different value in response to ON and OFF of a burst control signal.
