METHOD OF PRODUCING POLYESTER RESIN FOR TONER, POLYESTER RESIN FOR TONER, AND TONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environment-friendly polyester resin for a toner excellent in dispersibility of a release agent and in solubility to an organic solvent used for producing the toner when using a chemical method in high productivity.SOLUTION: A method of producing a polyester resin for a toner comprises subjecting a polyvalent carboxylic acid constituent containing a tri- or more multi-functional carboxylic acid and a polyhydric alcohol constituent to condensation polymerization in the presence of an ester wax, where 50 ppm-200 ppm of a titanium catalyst is used to a total amount of the polyvalent carboxylic acid constituent, the polyhydric alcohol constituent, and the ester wax. The polyester resin for a toner obtained by the above method is also disclosed.
