PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article causing no loss of an absorbent material, and capable of effectively suppressing leakage.SOLUTION: In an absorbent article 1, an absorption sheet 70 is provided on the upper surface, the lower surface or between the layers of an absorber 60. The absorption sheet 70 has a liquid permeable upper surface sheet 71, a lower surface sheet 72, and a granular polymer 73 swelling by absorbing moisture. The upper surface sheet 71 and the lower surface sheet 72 are joined by a plurality of joint portions 75 in parallel with each other. The polymer 73 is retained in a cylindrical space S surrounded by the joint portions 75 adjacent to each other, the upper surface sheet 71 and the lower surface sheet 72, in a state that the movement is regulated in a dried state and the movement regulation is released when absorbing moisture. |
