PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce or eliminate a period when a player has nothing to do in a so-called defense game. ! SOLUTION: A defeating situation of an opponent character in a current game space is determined, and appearance of the opponent character is controlled based on the determined defeating situation. More specifically, based on an appearance control standard parameter, a baseline value of an appearance control parameter of an opponent character corresponding to progress of a game is determined first. Then, a value of the appearance control parameter is changed according to the defeating situation.
